Making up the Middle (and the End)

The rules are as follows: I will provide the beginning of a story in one or two sentences. You, in the comments, provide the middle of the story - also in less-than-or-equal-to two sentences. Likewise, I'll try to finish the story in a couple sentences. If I cannot, you win. A pot of gold. To be redeemed by a unicorn and a leprechaun in the far-off land of Woppets.

Or maybe somebody else can try. That would be so Web 2.1 of us.

First story:
Alex had the fate of her diet in her hands. If she chose the ice cream now, she may stave off a larger caloric attack....

I'll play along. I used to belong to a Yahoo group that did a similar thing except we would keep a story going on forever, each of us taking turns writing a paragraph at a time. I love doing this kind of stuff though because it exercises your brain a little. Thanks - this is a great idea for a blog!
